Things to take along during a trek
Take as little as possible. A small rugsack with plastic protective cover, clothes for the duration of your stay, an
extra set dry clothes for the evenings, swimming clothes, 1 or 2 towels, a sleeping bag for overnight stay with
hilltribes or in the jungle, a first aid kit, good walking shoes, slippers, hat, sun protection, mosquito repellent,
torch, candles, matches, a piece of rope, toilet paper, sunglasses, toilet gear, your own glasses or contact lenses,
camera, binoculars, plastic bags to store documents cameras and mobile
phones (to protect them from rain and sweat), copy of your passport, personal medication and candy if you like. From
March till October the daytime temperatures can reach 38°C and it can rain. From November till February the night
temperatures can reach freezing point. Adapt your clothes to that. If, after the excursion, you return to the same hotel
as from where you left then usually you can leave your large luggage behind the reception. Ask the bellboy / concierge.
The hotel may charge a small fee for that.
